PGL Major Arlington 2022 – Schedule, Teams, Predictions & Betting Odds

PGL Major Arlington 2022 is the final direct qualifying event for Dota Pro Circuit season. Eighteen teams will battle for the last bit of DPC points to earn their direct qualifying spot at The International 2022 and a piece of the prize pool. The Dota 2 Arlington Major will be the first event in 2022 to feature Chinese teams in a LAN environment.

The event takes place between August 4th, 2022 through August 14th, 2022 at Esports Stadium Arlington.

PGL Major Arlington 2022 Teams & Format

Eighteen teams, four from Western Europe and China, three from Southeast Asia and Eastern Europe and two from North and South America are divided into two groups of nine. They will play out a single round robin Group Stage with only one the last two teams eliminated.

The remaining teams are seeded into Playoffs with the top four of each group in the Winner Bracket and two bottom two in the Losers Bracket. From this point forward the bracket will feature double-elimination best-of-three matches with only the Major Final being best-of-five

The eighteen teams all qualified through their regional Dota Pro Circuit competition. Check them out on the picture below:

Out of these eighteen teams, only OG, Thunder Awaken, PSG.LGD and TSM have secured their invites at The International. The remaining teams will have to earn their points here in hopes of being part of the eight remaining direct invitees at the season finale.

PGL Major Arlington 2022 Prize Pool & DPC Points

PGL Major Arlington features $500,000 USD and 4,570 Dota Pro Circuit points for the participating teams. The winner takes the lion’s share of $200k and 820 DPC points. With only 4 teams confirmed in attendance at The International this year, the points will be a lifeline for many teams to secure their participation.
