Today, we’re here to determine which among them is the best Call of Duty Zombies game.

For some, COD Zombies is the best part of a new release. There are plenty of players out there that only buy the annual Call of Duty release for the Zombies mode – should the title actually feature one, that is. In recent years, the COD Zombies mode has risen from a simple wave defence mode to a full-fledged, open-world, episodic adventure. It’s a staple for the Call of Duty franchise, and players love killing time by killing zombies.

While the first time we saw Zombies in a Call of Duty title was in 2008, we’ve seen many more variants pop up since then. However, not all Call of Duty games will feature a Zombies mode – but most of them do, given the popularity of the feature. Here’s a list of all the Call of Duty games that feature a Zombies mode:

For instance, in Advanced Warfare, developers Sledgehammer Games created a more futuristic, challenging mode called ‘Exo Zombies’. This was based around one of the key mechanics in the game, whereupon players were equipped with a high-performance exo-suit.

In the Black Ops Zombies modes, an overarching story was created, featuring some of the most iconic Call of Duty characters in franchise history. Some of these titles also doubled as the best Call of Duty games ever, with the top-shelf Zombies modes serving as the cherry on the cake.

For many, Black Ops is the best Call of Duty Zombies game ever. It was the immediate follow-on from World at War’s Nazi Zombies, and it expanded the game mode massively, introducing a story with characters that would become legendary. It’s a cult classic mode that kicked off more than ten years of Call of Duty Zombies, and it’s easily the best ever. Runner Up: Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

In 2020, Cold War was released, and while it didn’t perform too well as a multiplayer title, it boasted a seriously polished Zombies mode. Every update in the game brought fresh content to this Zombies game mode, which was set in a wide, open world that boasted sandbox gameplay elements.
