SteelSeries Prime Invitational

The SteelSeries Prime Invitational is going to be taking place from April 6-17th. There are going to be 20 teams in competition. With five teams walking away with a share of the prize money. This is a tournament for the ANZ and APAC regions. This is the fourth SteelSeries event in this series so far. These events have highlighted lesser-known regions of the game, with one in 2021 running in Vietnam. These teams often play at a high level, but might not attract as much attention as some other regions.

There are some great players that compete in this side of the game, so it’s bound to be an exciting tournament. Each day of this invitational will see six matches take place. This is an event with a more limited pool of teams. However, the close match-ups within a region show off a different side of the game. This isn’t quite as big of an event as the Apex Global Series but it has its place and adds to the overall depth of the esports community for this Battle Royale.

The tournament is sponsored by SteelSeries, one of the biggest suppliers of gaming accessories and gear. During the event, they will be giving away various pieces of gaming gear during the official broadcast. There will also be giveaways on social media if you miss out.

Prize Pool & Where to Watch

The SteelSeries Prime Invitational has a minor ($10,000) prize pool on offer for the teams. The added practice just a week before the ALGS Split 2 Playoffs is what is really worthwhile for some teams, including our favorites, Team Burger.

The tournament is going to be hosted by b_rad, an Australian Apex content creator. Casters Jamerson and DiA will also be commentating on the games. The stream of the event is going to kick off at 3 PM, on the SteelSeries Twitch account. While you can find matches playing out all the way through the Easter weekend, the final rounds are sure to be interesting.

The SteelSeries Prime Invitational looks set to be an exciting addition to the competitive community, especially if you’re interested in watching some different regions at the high-end of Apex Legends gameplay.
