Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 will soon be live in the game! This latest update is only the third season in Fortnite Chapter 2. This ‘new’ version of Fortnite launched to a lot of fuss, but has simmered a little as time has passed. With most seasons being hit with hefty delays, a lot of people are wondering is Fortnite dying. Epic’s newest addition to the game will hopefully put these fears of some of the best Fortnite players to rest for a while.

Each new season of Fortnite starts with a big event. Fortnite Season 3 isn’t going to be an exception to this. While we don’t have a Fortnite Season 3 trailer yet, or much of an idea about the Fortnite chapter 2 Season 3 skins, we can be sure there is going to be some changes. What is Fortnite Season 3?

Fortnite Season 3 is the next full season of the game. Fortnite is divided into seasons rather than being a core game that has added content with DLC. This means that every new season sees the game refreshed, there is new content like items, and usually alterations to the game maps. They’re typically themed around a particular topic, like spy v spy in the last season or superheroes back in Chapter 1. This theme is what the skins in each Seasons’ Battle Pass tends to represent.

When Does Fortnite Season 3 Come Out?

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 is now due to release on July 11^th! The update should come somewhere around mid-day. The countdown timer in-game currently gives an exact timing for when the new season is due to begin. However, that is counting down to the event that sees the end of one season. In the past this event has been followed with downtime, so that is something to be aware of. The countdown might not necessarily be to when Fortnite Season 3 is playable.

Why is Fortnite Season 3 Delayed?

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 has now been delayed twice! The Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 release date has been pushed quite a few times, but this new date seems pretty solid. The first delay was quite substantial, but the second was only b a single week.

These delays are probably due to development delays. Few developers are operating at 100% in light of the covid-19 pandemic. On top of this, Fortnite has had some crunch issues in the past. Epic have tried to address this, but studios with track records like this are typically quite messy with delays and release schedules.

What Will Fortnite Season 3 be Like?

At the moment, it is hard to say just what Fortnite season 3 will be like! There are some Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 rumours that can give us some indication. However, in the past rumours have been dramatically wrong rather than right!

We can be fairly certain that newer additions to the game are here to stay. The new map is unlikely to be majorly altered, since it is still a bit sparse with POIs. Elements like fishing will probably be staying too.

Will Fortnite Season 3 Have a New Map?

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 probably won’t have a new map. Since the original map got 10 seasons of use, Chapter 2’s isn’t getting thrown away any time soon.

We can expect map alterations though. This will probably be in the form of new additions to the map. Season 2 added the agency and a few other POIs. This will probably be repeated this season. However, it remains to be seen if some POIs like the Agency will be sticking around.

One big rumour is that the map will be flooded, or a general summer-beach theme will be around.

What is Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 Theme?

At the moment, ‘Summer’ seems like a good guess. However, this is a bit vague. We can’t really be sure of what the theme could be before the Season releases! Even if we think the map is going to flood, the theme could just as easily be ‘A Red Octopus’ as summer. A Fortnite Season 3 trailer should give a clue once it is released.

Are Fortnite Season 3 Skins Rare?

Fortnite Season 3 skins are rare, but this is usually taken to mean the original Season 3! The Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 skins aren’t going to be rare for quite a while! This skins are going to be accessible to everyone until Season 4 starts in quite a few months, so these aren’t going to be rare skins at the moment.
