WoW WotLK Pre-Patch Hits the Live Servers on August 30th

We finally got the information on the pre-patch release, along with some other goodies about WoW Classic, and it is exciting! Those who played the game back in 2008 know just how amazing this set of events was, and while the chain of events will begin to unravel from August 30th, which is quite soon, it still deserves to be hyped up.

What is the pre-patch event about?

Back in 2008, WoW was one of the best MMORPG games out there, and while that might not be different today, back then, the dominance of WoW was much bigger. So, once the WoW Classic servers get hit with the pre-patch, the first thing that will happen is the introduction of all WoTLK goodies like achievements and new talents.

After that, from September 6-13, the Zombie Plague Event will begin, and capital cities will be polluted with a mysterious affliction that is deadly to players. While the Zombie Plague Event is just the preparation, the real event begins on September 13th, and it is called the Scourge Invasion Event.

It is one of the most memorable experiences for anyone who played back in the day, and it is all about purging Azeroth from scourge invaders and getting yourself some sweet loot, like the famous Haunted Memento that summons a ghost to follow you around while you have it in the inventory.

Something is brewing

While there are some major WotLK changes that players are not excited about, one thing that is not changing is the Brewfest, which begins on September 20th and lasts until October 6th. During this event, players can get cool items while completing various quests related to the event.

The launch

During the Brewfest, we are also getting to the WoW WotLK release date, which is September 26th. While players will be able to level up their current characters to level 80, as well as start some Death Knights on their realm, raids are going to be locked away for ten days. While Arena Season 5 will begin on October 4-5 (depending on the region), Naxxramas, The Eye of Eternity, and The Obsidian Sanctum will be available on October 6th, where you will finally be able to get your hands on the best gear of the first phase.
